Mick Vickers recommends ECT SOFIT: "Okay boys and girls, if you’re looking for some help with your fitness/nutrition I recommend giving Chris Hill and ECT/SOFIT a try!! My backstory; I am a retired high school football and wresting coach so I know a little about working out and weight loss. After I retired I started working as paramedic and spending time on the ambulance my basic food groups became McDonald’s, Wendy’s and Taco Bell. On my 60th birthday I weighed 238.4 pounds!!!! Over the years my motivation for fitness had disappeared and if I could workout and diet for a month I felt like I had accomplished something. I had the cartilage in my left knee removed in high school and then had rotator cuff and bicep tendon surgery in 2018 and I was using these as excuses to quit! My niece had posted some videos of her doing some ECT SOFIT workouts on social media. I asked her about them and she RAVED about Chris and gave me his number. I contacted Chris and we met and he came up with a plan. With his help I have lost 32+ pounds in four months!!! His meal prep recommendations were amazing and and not super restrictive so it is pretty easy to follow. I do have to admit that I am not the best at counting macros but I’m getting better!!! The workouts are a mix up of cardio, strength and mobility workouts and are challenging as you make them, I still have trouble finishing the upper body workouts but have gotten better. So you’re probably thinking “this guy can’t count macros or finish the whole workout, what is so great?” Chris Hill, that’s what!! His daily check ins and motivation in addition to the nutrition tips and workouts have kept me going and I no longer look at this as a diet and workout but a lifestyle change. I’m about halfway to my ultimate goal and for the first time in years I think that I will get there. If you’re on the fence about getting a trainer I cannot recommend Chris enough!!"
My husband had mentioned this program and I was skeptical at first. But at that time I was desperate to get him the help. My husband was struggling with weight loss, had high blood pressure, and was not at his best with his health. I figured why not give it a try? At first, it was my husband who signed up for the program but I supported him by cooking and preparing his meals and working out with him. I did not want my husband to walk this journey alone.
We ended up loving the ECT SOFIT program. Chris is very knowledgeable. He is very patient, explains everything thoroughly, and is very supportive. I joined the group to help support my husband and I ended up participating and loving the program myself.
Here is a before photo of my husband and I in Puerto Rico before starting our program and and a recent photo of us. My husband and I still have a long ways to go. Slowly but surely we are making progress.
I also added a picture of myself taking a photo at the Old Navy dressing room. Like a teenager lol. I was so excited to share the news to my husband and Chris. I grabbed my normal size which was an 8 and when I tried the pants on it was loose. So I went back and grabbed size 6 and they fit. At first I thought it was a mistake. I said maybe it’s just this one pair or maybe it’s the material? But when I tried on other pants I actually fit the 6.
My husband and I are both very thankful we found Chris and we joined his program. This is our journey to a better health.
I grew up a very active, but very lean youth. When I joined the Navy at 21, I was 6’1” and 165lbs. Over the years (as with all of us) my metabolism finally began to slow a bit and with the help of a great deal of exercise and protein, I began to gain muscle mass. I have always sought out challenges. On my ships I volunteered for our Ships Fire Fighting and Damage Control teams, then later for the Ships Self-Defense Force.
After my time at Sea, I began to play full contact/inter service football in Japan. By this time I was up to @ 235lbs. A couple of tours later, I was stationed in Italy and began to play rugby (over 20 years ago now). I continued to play rugby here at Ft Bragg through my military retirement and haven’t stopped yet! I did find, however, that maintaining my fitness became more of a challenge after retirement….but I kept at it.
Approximately 10 years ago, I had a significant setback. A deer stand that I was standing on collapsed out from underneath me and dropped me 22’. I landed on my rifle, which was still strapped across my back and incurred significant injuries. I fractured my T10, T11 and L3 vertebrae, and broke my pelvis in two locations. I gathered myself after a moment and (very slowly) walked over a mile out of the woods. After the fall came the hospital stay, wheelchair, back brace, walker and a serious concern if I would walk normally ever again. It took a year, but I bounced back and all of my doctors agreed my fitness and muscle mass had absolutely saved my spinal cord and permanent paralysis. I worked hard to get back in shape and the mental struggle was among the toughest.
Flash forward 7 years and @ 2019/2020 I got Sepsis. I lost 35lb in my seven days in ICU and a large amount of my muscle mass. I couldn’t walk from the bedroom to the living room w/o falling asleep from the effort. Again, I determined that this wouldn’t beat me either. As I started to get back into shape, I began to speak to Chris more and more often about training points. He and have been friends over 15 years and conferred frequently on workouts and fitness ideas.
Finally last year, I “took the plunge” and decided I would stop mooching free advice from my friend and fully embrace the ECT SOFIT program…and I hired Chris as my trainer. The results have been genuinely outstanding. In approx. eight months I’m able to work up to the Elite Level workouts on most sessions. I’m down from 275lbs to 263lbs and have dropped 8% of my bf. I currently have a 50” chest and a 38” waist, at 56 years old. Considering that this is truly a 3-4 year plan, I can’t wait to see what the future holds! Truly, if I can do these workouts and live the lifestyle ….YOU CAN!
